Welcome to a faith centered approach to

mental and emotional well-being!

My name is Sandy, and I am a Board Certified Christian Mental Health Coach through the International Board of Christian Care (IBCC). I hold a background in psychology from Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) and have completed extensive mental health training through Light University. I am also an active member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).

My training equips me to support individuals in a wide range of areas including trauma care, crisis response, anxiety, depression, panic disorders, phobias, stress management, boundaries, addiction, grief, career development, communication, and life transitions. I utilize evidence-informed mental health coaching strategies combined with a values-based, person-centered approach to help clients gain clarity, strengthen resilience, and move toward improved mental and emotional well-being.

My work is shaped by the belief that individuals can grow, heal, and regain a sense of agency when supported in a safe and structured environment. I focus on helping clients identify their strengths, set attainable goals, and develop practical skills for long-term flourishing.

I believe that true healing happens when we care for the mind, heart, and spirit together. My passion for Christian mental health coaching comes from both my professional experience and my personal journey — one that has shown me how deeply faith and emotional wellness are intertwined.

For many years, I’ve walked alongside individuals and couples who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of their next step. I’ve seen how unaddressed emotional pain, stress, and uncertainty can quietly affect every area of life — relationships, work, confidence, and even our connection with God. My calling is to help people move forward with clarity, peace, and renewed purpose.

Based in San Diego, I live with my husband, Steven, and our two Australian Cattle/Blue Heeler dogs. We have two adult children, Jonathan and Marissa. Outside of helping people, I enjoy nature and hiking, walks along the beach, traveling, and long-term habit-building—such as maintaining my Duolingo French streak.

My own path has shaped both who I am and how I serve others. Like many of the individuals and couples I work with, I have experienced seasons of transition, uncertainty, and deep personal growth. These experiences taught me that mental health is not a sign of weakness — it is a vital part of living with intention, faith, and wholeness.

This understanding led me to pursue professional training and ultimately become a Board-Certified Mental Health Coach, allowing me to support clients with both compassion and clinical integrity. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, while remaining deeply rooted in Christian values and spiritual wisdom.

Through my training and experience, I have learned how to meet people where they are — offering guidance that is compassionate, personalized, and respectful of each individual’s story. Today, I integrate professional mental health techniques with faith-centered coaching to help clients gain clarity, strengthen emotional resilience, and move forward with confidence.
