Together we can GIVE HOPE!
Welcome to our community page, Give Hope!
In 2019 I participated in the St. Jude Walk/Run!
This year I participated in the St. Jude Walk in honor of my friend, Monique (above). Monique was diagnosed with leukemia while she was just starting school in the 90's. She was told she would never have children. Today, Monique is cancer free and has two children of her own. You can read her story here: Sunshine and Rainy Days: My Daughter has Cancer
We've all been touched by cancer in one way or another. Together, we can bring hope to children fighting for their lives and the families praying for a miracle.
For, cancer has no friends. It doesn’t care how young you are or how old you are. It doesn’t care about your socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, or anything else. Cancer doesn’t care. I do! I choose to fight back so that we can come along side those facing this horrible disease and end cancer once and for all.
I am saddened for the millions of people that will be diagnosed with cancer this year. I can't begin to imagine how devastating it is to see one's child suffer with cancer. No one should have to go through this. I’ve joined St. Jude to give hope to those facing cancer. I believe that if we come together as a community, we can help find a cure for cancer, by supporting cancer research. Let's put an end to this devastating, life threatening disease that continues to take the lives of children. Together, we can bring hope. Please join us as we walk to bring childhood cancer awareness.
Life is about community. It is about giving back to others. It is about investing in altruistic ways to show the character of who Christ is in us. Let us be the light God created us to be and give hope; for in Christ there is joy!
The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. Psalm 118:14
Stay tuned for 2020 community event updates. Together we can make a difference!
Are you seeking an intimate relationship with Jesus?
Are you seeking community; real authentic fellowship with other believers?
"In Gods at War, Pastor Kyle Idleman, bestselling author of Not a Fan, helps every believer recognize there are false gods at war within each of us, and they battle for the place of glory and control in our lives.
According to Idleman, idolatry isn’t an issue--it is the issue.
How can we seek God with our whole hearts instead?
Using true, powerful, and honest testimonies of those who have struggled in each area, Gods at War illustrates a clear path away from the heartache of our 21st century idolatry back to the heart of God--enabling us to truly be completely committed followers of Jesus."
This new Bible study will meet virtually, Thursdays from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. beginning July 9. For more information, e-mail the host.
