About the Event
What are you doing to create space to take care of yourself?
Self-care is all about being intentional in taking care of our spiritual, emotional, physical, and social needs.
When our emotions cause increased stress, anxiety, and burnout, it can impact our immune system causing us to be physical ill. A few ways we can manage overwhelming emotions is by making time for our regular check-ups so we can talk to our physician about any emotional and physical symptoms and get a referral to a mental health provider, if needed. It's also helpful to use effective coping skills to better manage our emotions in a healthy way and to build a strong support group with people we can trust, be vulnerable with, and ask for help. In addition, research has also shown journaling as a beneficial way to process our emotions.
In this course we will create space to evaluate and explore where you are emotionally through mindfulness and journaling exercises, and deep breathing.
This is an intentional way to set time aside for yourself, while investing in your self-care needs. You'll have the opportunity to meet others and have some fun in this free, interactive, virtual event. Sign-up today. Space is limited.
Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” Mark 6:31
