This course will help you evaluate where you are in meeting your needs and what you can do to get better at being purposeful in taking care of yourself. If you don't have a self-care plan, I'll help you create one and you'll be ready to start the year strong!

About the Event
What are you doing to create space to take care of yourself?
Self-care is all about being intentional in taking care of our spiritual, emotional, physical, and social needs.
When our emotions cause increased stress, anxiety, and burnout, it can impact our immune system causing us to be physical ill. A few ways we can manage overwhelming emotions is by making time for our regular check-ups so we can talk to our physician about any emotional and physical symptoms and get a referral to a mental health provider, if needed. It's also helpful to use effective coping skills to better manage our emotions in a healthy way and to build a strong support group with people we can trust, be vulnerable with, and ask for help. In addition, research has also shown journaling as a beneficial way to process our emotions.
